First let me say I have tried a lot of sauces in my life! I’m a sauce girl! I use different hot sauces on everything! This is hands down the tastiest, most flavorful sauce I ever tried! It’s the perfect consistency, smells amazing and made farm fresh?!!!!! WHAT?!?! I ate it today with the steak my husband made and the whole family loved it! Vinegar forward, a touch of sweet, and very flavourful. The spice isn’t super hot but quite pleasant. I can lick the butter knife I used to spread it without pain.
The only thing I don’t care for is the lid. It is just a screw top, so you’re pouring a rather thick sauce out of a rather large opening. I’ve started spooning it out with an iced tea spoon as a regular sized spoon is just a bit too big.
If you’re looking for a sauce with mild/moderate spice that really concentrated on the flavours, this a good one.

This is an 8 oz bottle of Original Hot Sauce from Elka’s Farm. It arrived fresh and factory sealed. I knew when I ordered this that it wasn’t just an ordinary hot sauce of chilis and vinegar, but I wasn’t sure exactly what it was, so I was interested to try it. You know the stuff in the grocery stores in the little bottles that they call “chili sauce”, and maybe you get it for making sauce for meatballs or little smokies, and you taste it and it’s not that different from ketchup? Well THIS sauce is everything that sauce should be! This really packs some big flavor. It is ketchup based, but it is also garlicky and has a fair amount of heat. I’d say this would be medium or so as far as heat level. It is a great blend of flavors that make for a far, far better chili sauce than I’ve ever had before.

One member of my household is particularly sensitive to spice, yet they found this sauce enjoyable.
